(6/6) People have been voting early and by mail for decades, and Republicans have been trying to restrict access for nearly as long. Going back to a time “when you voted on Election Day” as Kari Lake and the GOP want, would keep many voters from casting a ballot. Which, remember, is the point.

Some examples: 🚩After many Black voters in Florida voted early for Obama in 2008, FL cut early voting days by half in 2011 (which led a 102-year-old Black woman to wait 3+ hours to vote). 🚩GOPers in OH, GA, WI and more tried to rein in early voting after Democrats turned out early for Obama.
