My wife teaches at a number of schools around Chicago. At a couple, there are parents who sell tamales outside of the school, and she always brings a handful home when she teaches at those schools. It is evil that tamale vendors are scared of ICE, but awesome that cyclists are doing this.

I don’t know if it is still this way, but when I was in Argentina 20+ years ago, the two most common things I’d see painted in graffiti were statements concerning ownership of the Islas Malvinas (Falkland Islands), and “Fuera Yankis de América Latina” (Yankees* get out of Latin America).

IIRC, there’s a pilot out here that has done similar for college logos over Puget Sound. If they don’t answer this with something for the Mariners, I think the state can legally take his pilots license.

the electorate, rather than judges, should decide Trump's GUILT, which is essentially the same argument - laws don't matter, the will of the electorate matters. If ever we come back from this, the same law for everyone has to be a centerpiece.

Trump is not bound by laws because the president is an extension of the will of the people. If Trump was elected by a massive mandate (what they claim, not the reality), he was elected to do whatever he thinks is necessary. And Dems contributed to this argument inadvertently by agreeing that

I think a lot of people on both sides, probably including me, have stopped caring about the legality of certain things if it conflicts with getting what they want, and in fact, were never that attached to it. I think part of the reason "democracy" turned out to be not that attractive an attack line

I really wish Apple would let me clear the system data on my iPhone. I was getting notifications that my storage was full. A third of my storage was being used up with system data. No way to manually clear it. I had to backup, erase all data on my phone, and restore from backup to clear it.
