My most BYU-coded trait is that I’m a decent ballroom dancer. I started dancing in HS trying to impress girls, and my wife couldn’t care less. I tried teaching her once when we started dating, but her sense of rhythm does not conform to conventional, linear time.

I don't remember the context of this, but I love finding little notes like this around the house when tidying up. Not to pat ourselves on the back too much, but allowing kids to set boundaries and being the type of parents that respect them looks a lot like this.

My wife used a wheelchair in the airport when we flew home after her mastectomy. She may have appeared able-bodied walking through the metal detector, or to her seat on the plane. But the wheelchair helped a ton, and I would have punched anyone in the face that complained we were gaming the system.

I will know when the AI bubble is burst when a service I use that uses machine learning, and always referred to it as machine learning, and only in the last couple of years or so changed to calling it AI, reverts to calling it machine learning again.

Spent some time in Disneyland last week and got to play one of my favorite games: Spot the Mormons. Easy mode is spotting them by the BYU logos. Hard mode is spotting them without BYU logos. Sometimes hard mode turns into another game: Are they Mormon, or just white with more than 2 kids?

If your post-apocalyptic america doesn't include Mormons I don't think it's very realistic
