If you’re looking for decent news, we’ve seen about 50 monarch butterflies fluttering around today.

This was a first: a Bald Eagle! I heard it in the woods behind the house but couldn’t see it. I know they hang out at a nearby lake but I’ve never had one close to home. The crows were raising hell about it! #birds #MerlinSoundID

Sand Bean (also called Pink Fuzzy Bean) blooms in late summer and is a vining legume; I saw it in an overgrown field and it was climbing other plants. After it flowers, it makes string bean-shaped seed pods that wild turkeys and other birds like to eat. #WildflowerWednesday #NativePlants
