I want to highlight this because, as a reminder in this country, people have faced state-sanctioned violence for things including but not limited to: - giving homeless people food that would have been thrown away - giving water to people who were in line for long hours while voting /1

The path from deciding it is acceptable to murder Black people in the street, to allowing the running over of BLM protesters, to the acceptance of genocide as policy, to legalized persecution of genocide protesters, to now White men and women being executed in the street is a straight line.
