When I was 12 I went through the coming of age experience of reading not just Flowers in the Attic, but the whole Dollanganger book series by V.C Andrew’s. And while Flowers in the Attic is a lot, the whole series was even more.

I miss when the internet was an activity and not a curse you carry around with you.

It's been a day of hiking in surprise rain off the Blue Ridge Parkway, seeing deer grazing, having a dear run by the side of the road, and seeing a bear! Was great until the car battery died and we had to wait 2 hrs for a jump!
