+ it doesn't matter what level of skill you are someone will dislike your work. even if you're absolutely best at it people won't like it because it's not what they want made in the exact way they want it done. answer is: do the art you like and and you'll find others that share the sentiment.

"you will get savaged" No. You won't. You'll find a small community of people who enjoy your first attempts at art, and that community will grow as you get better. Be so for real. Yes, maybe one or two assholes will criticize you but most people are not so unkind.
