Finished RE7 Overall it was kinda standard RE stuff. I had fun but it felt kinda too streamlined. The constant switching of game styles doesn't really come together by the end. The action parts don't hit the highs of re4 and the horror parts are kinda dissipated after the first third of the game.

The plan

I have so many thoughts about this new eva thing. But i think i can easily summarize it as this: Evangelion is inherently Anno Hideaki and Gainax's story from the 90s. The further we get from that the flimsier the justification for having it's name.

I think Evangelion was fine with it's series and 1997 theatrical movie. The rebuilds have been a bit of a let down in totality. I also am not a fan of Yoko Taro's writing in the nier series. It feels bland and surficially bombastic but lacks depth and nuance.
