Recently I got invited to join the new Godot UX team. When I have time I will be helping testing editor PRs and make Godot more usable for everyone. What are some of the most annoying things about Godot UI/UX that you think need attention?

Honestly, AI slop PRs are becoming increasingly draining and demoralizing for
#Godot
maintainers. If you want to help, more funding so we can pay more maintainers to deal with the slop (on top of everything we do already) is the only viable solution I can think of:

Godot's GitHub has increasingly many pull requests generated by LLMs and it's a MASSIVE time waster for reviewers – especially if people don't disclose it. Changes often make no sense, descriptions are extremely verbose, users don't understand their own changes… It's a total shitshow.

This _isn't_ an anti-AI argument. (There are plenty of those to go around.) It's an argument against closed, centralized AI, and in favour of open models you can run on your own hardware. It's critically important that we not mess this up.

Don't love the wording of this - it feels a bit like saying ChatGPT is down, forcing news writers to take a long coffee break. It is a sign of things to come, though, if we don't change course: power and reliance on fewer and fewer superwealthy companies, that can squeeze you for all you have.
