Giant company begs tiny Open Source project to graciously spend more of our copious spare time to help them - for free. Apparently the latest
#curl
release has a build problem on HarmonyOS. What a pity.

Super stoked that my Dune fanart scene got used for

4.5's release page header background! (AND that my specular occlusion PR got featured) Massive thanks to everyone involved for another awesome release! Can't wait to continue contributing and see where the engine goes :)

Amazing release from all Godot contributors! 🏅 This release is special to me because it's the first one (since 2.0) that was released without my involvement. I've been on parental leave 🐣 since July and left the release process fully to my Godot teammates. They did a great job!

I checked what engines were used for the highest rated games in the latest
#BrackeysGameJam
... 🥁🥁🥁 Top 5: 100% Godot Top 20: 16 Godot, 4 Unity (80% Godot) 🤯 The engine doesn't make a good game, so all the merit goes to the jammers, but it's still nice to see this sign of Godot adoption!

Trying to make something for the
#GBJam
and I'm using Pokemon placeholders. It is incredible to see how much they can achieve with just 16x16 tiles. Look at that computer! look at that plant!

I've been revisiting a lot of my teenage years favorite emo bands and the drummers were absolutely cracked. They had no business being that good. I don't think these kind of drum tracks will ever make it back.

I wrote an Intro to Puzzle Design article🧩 This covers the usual points I discuss with people who are working on their first puzzle game. Given how some concepts can be quite abstract, I think a written piece allows everyone to digest it at their own pace.
