I highly recommend REANIMAL. I just finished it and it’s pretty good, exactly what I wanted Little Nightmares 3 to do but never scratched the itch of LN1/2. You can finish in an afternoon. Played on Switch 2, solo, graphics/performance pretty good but loadings are a bit atrocious for deaths/repeat.

In this RAM/storage economy and unsafe privacy software world, Johnny Mnemonic theme feels the right time; where Keanu Reeves tries to carry around 320GB worth of data in his brain before he dies, traditional HDD are not secure enough and prob expensive.

With RE Requiem release date coming up I've been thinking that maybe I should finally play Outbreak since story-wise I have no idea what happens in that game, and seems to be related to Requiem. they aren't listed as being very long to beat, I guess it will depend on difficulty.

In terms of bug fixing I also want to give a shoutout to GameMaker 2 team, a few times they were patient enough with my multiple rambles on bugs that would be easy to dismiss “seems like game bug but was actually engine” and were even blocking game releases. By not giving up they found & fixed it. 🙏

first RE game was released 30 years ago, CAPCOM really has been making a great job with this franchise. From this list the only ones I’m yet to finish is RE3 PS1 and Code Veronica.

Super Mario World on a CRT is peak gaming! I rarely use it but I’ve been trying to keep it alive, this is where I played most of my childhood-teen games all the way up to Xbox 360 (Gears!) so it’s special.

Finally played Resident Evil 4 Remake, clocked a save with 20h, took my time. A great remake, honestly only “fault” is I played OG version and remember some cut content and a few characters that feel a bit downgraded. But many improvements. All versions are some of the best game cover art ever.

Tried Pragmata DEMO on Switch 2 and it's crazy how it plays & looks, side by side with my PC I can spot differences of course, but honestly it's almost "they're the same picture". Hair is the standout, but RE4R also has complex hair not running everywhere. Realistic hair is still a bottleneck in CG.

CAPCOM did a live-action short film to promote Resident Evil Requiem pretty cool.

Because most people can’t tell the difference and there’s not enough content; streaming platforms (Netflix etc) content have much lower bitrate than a Bluray. Most Games on consoles can barely hold 4k at 30fps and even that needs upscaling sometimes.

I actually went back to test it on 3DS devKit were I had to ditch thumbs all together (for save constraints as well though). Speaking of which, the 3DS version is still my personal favorite. Dual screen!!!

Resuming my Resident Evil 4 Remake play-through after stopping due to breaking knives, and its growing on me actually, which I’m surprised since I hated that in BotW until the end of the game. Also playing this now reminds me how incredible RE4 on GC was back in the day.

Math can be tricky sometimes. 100 HP + 10% = 110 HP But 110 - 10% = 99, below 100 Had to explain to someone a bug on their RPG math where un-equiping items with % applied to total value could get their attack/HP below original value. Using Base value for the calculations is better.
