With the Japanese edition of MÖRK BORG, we once more ran into the fact that not all alphabets or writing systems have gothic, blackletter typography. So we made new fonts.

Pretty cool exhibition with a bunch of original drawings and paintings, magazines, books and boxes from the first days of Games Workshop up until today.

Short break on my way home from the booth, stopping at a small wine bar for local wines and cold cuts and man, it’s gonna be difficult now for other conventions to compete with Lucca in the food and drinks department.

I want all conventions to have a painting area from now on.

My first impression of Lucca Comics & Games on the first actual con day is that this js fucking crazy. It’s not a huge convention hall, it’s an entire, actual city transformed into a nerd circus. My hotel is at the entrance and it’s 2,5km of convention from there to my booth. It never ends.

I’m in Lucca and I kind of forgot that you get antipasto and wine for pretty much no money in this goddamn country.

This week, I've been kindly invited as a guest to Lucca Comics & Games and will sign books in Need Games' booth (Italian MB, CB, and Art by Nohr), where there's also a pretty big exhibition with my work. Also, I'll have a panel where I'll talk about my art and stuff. See you there, maybe.

Today I wanted to get shit done but I also installed Megabonk so clearly there’s a massive conflict of interest.

Mailman fucked it up a bit, but I’m VERY stoked to have received this book from my favorite type foundry. Haven’t read it all yet but I’m sure there are some good ideas and lessons in there for non-type designers, too.

I had to look into this, and as far as I can tell, this is THE original treasure-hiding waterfall: Skógafoss in southern Iceland, behind which, according to legend, the Viking sorcerer Þrasi Þórólfsson hid a magical treasure chest full of gold and trinkets in the 9th or 10th century.
