Gradient Descent feels like it’s meant to be run zoomed-out and point-crawly, rather than 1:1 room-by-room. But that’s how we run it, and oddities (like, why is there a restroom or a meeting room with handholds here?) is explained with “an AI designed this place and thinks this is what humans want.”

Useful thing to use here

Today is 22°C and sun, and I had to drop all I was doing to go outside and lie in the sun for 20 minutes. That’s how starved for sun and warmth we are up here. This is considered very warm now.

If you're wondering why I'm posting so much, it's because my company is being audited and I have to do lots of accounting detective work and archeology. And I hate it. Financial companies should be forced to work on design concepts and typography for two days a year, and be expected to get it right.

This weekend, I played in a MÖRK BORG tournament with ~50 players trying to reach the heart of Hell in 2,5 hours with as few deaths as possible. The grim reaper patrolled the tables, flail in hand, feeding slain PCs’ sheets to a shredder. All GMs had corpse paint. We didn’t win, but it felt like it.

Not everyone had a great time at Blackwork con

One of the greatest thing at Blackwork con was when a gang of kids 12-14y from a local youth center came with their pedagogue to give me a copy of the MÖRK BORG adventure they worked on together. Nervous and proud, they each signed my copy and did a short interview. The next generation, man.

I know shipping is expensive, and I hate it. Honestly, shipping shouldn't be x2 the cost of a zine, but I have no way to control that, really.

Had to turn down a big project I would've loved to do. But there's either that, or do it sloppily, full of mistakes, or delay it, causing problems and headaches for the publisher. Or try to cram it in and possibly crash. Sucks, but you gotta be realistic.
