The Container types in #Godot are great for UI layout and I use them a lot. However, they do have the limitation of not allowing many types of animations, since the element positions and sizes are calculated for you.

If you’re a puzzle sicko, this game is for you. It’s quite challenging without resorting to moon logic. It knows that you’re smart enough to beat it and doesn’t coddle you. Plus, hunting nazis is fun. In the wise words of Indiana Jones: “I hate these guys!”

It seems from cursory searches that I enjoyed The Outer Worlds 2 a lot more than most. I really enjoy a Bethesda-style first person RPG, especially since Bethesda barely makes them anymore.

Thanks to @jeyb.bsky.social we have Galley House running on Godot 4.6 and it seems great. I think we'll ship with this version (or a minor patch), defaulting to the DirectX renderer on Windows.

I have duct-taped a pipeline together with python that pulls translations for game assets from google sheets, opens up photoshop and updates templates to export image textures, then fires up blender to render out images. Writing that out sounds nuts but it's working.

I haven’t finished it yet but if you liked Type Help, TR-49 is worth a look! They’re really leaning into the “database thriller” genre title here. As with other Inkle games it has a strong narrative, and the voice acting is superb.

It's mind blowing how not responding to sales email is not seen as a "no" anymore. People will follow up 3+ times, often daily to "bounce this email to the top of your box" or "just in case you forgot." It drives me nuts! Now if I'm uninterested I have to block the sender right away.

I spent most of my adult life building web apps and their activity was always much higher on weekdays. Now that I’m doing game dev stuff the opposite is true. Sales are always higher on weekends, because presumably people want a new game to try out in their free time.

I just want to give a huge shoutout to @roottrees.com, a game that completely changed my 2025. First off, the game: the combination of search with fill-in-the-blank deduction hit the spot for me and made me eager for more.
