I generally consider myself a puzzle game sicko and try to play all the games I can, but I cannot for the life of me figure out sokoban games. I just suck at them and don’t find them fun.

I’m really impressed with public transit in Munich. It’s so easy to use and clean and convenient. Also they have bike lanes everywhere! Toronto should aspire to be this good.

I honestly wouldn’t mind losing to any of these games. They’re all so good!

Made it to Munich, despite a (frankly rude) snowstorm in Toronto the day I left. What a charming city! Order some random apple pasty I couldn’t pronounce and it blew my mind.

It's surprising that in Substance painter you can't configure output resolutions for different types of maps. I almost never want my metal or roughness exported at the same resolution as albedo! #gamedev

I started playing Old Skies and was delighted to hear both of the voice actors from Roottrees in the first 30 minutes!

The Incident at Galley House will have controller support, and I've found it surprisingly complex to implement from a UI perspective compared to the mouse stuff we did in Roottrees. With a mouse, you can easily say, oh is the cursor in the visible thing?

Had the pleasure of seeing Dropout Improv last night. Incredible show. I can’t imagine it’s easy to do improv in front of 3000 people but they nailed it!

I think releasing in the middle of January was a huge benefit for us. There weren't many other games out at the time and it gave critics (including Jason!) the ability to look closer at us.

A lot of people have asked if Roottrees is based on Rowntree’s from the UK, especially because their fruit pastilles have five flavours. It’s 100% a coincidence and Jeremy had never heard of it when writing the game. I found a bag in a local British shop this weekend so I had to try. Pretty good!

I updated The Incident at Galley House to Godot 4.5 and it seems to be running perfectly. I'm pretty sure we'll launch on this version (or a stable patch to it.)

Two months ago, I was really enjoying Avowed, but they released a patch that made the framerate so jerky that its unplayable on my beefy PC. So many people complained on the forums, and they released a hot fix, but it doesn’t work. It’s now been a month of total silence and I’m super bummed.

I really enjoy programming. I would happily do it every day except I’ve found that if I don’t take breaks my anxiety gets much worse, so I don’t usually work on weekends. This means that by Monday I’m usually super excited to jump back in with what I’ve been thinking about for a couple days.
