I've been playing through this the last couple nights, and I recommend. The core gameplay is great, the performances are full of heart, and the text you're searching through tells compelling stories with fun surprises

If you're into deduction games, especially if you liked Type Help, you should definitely PL-47 this bitesize one from @jon.inkle.co. I'm a big fan of the Implausibly Weird Database subgenre.

I played through this over the last two days and it is -excellent-. It‘s immersive, fascinating. The attention to detail is impressive. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and even after finishing woke up this morning wanting to try something new just to see how they handled it.

So, partially, I was awake all night because sick, and partially, my own fault, because Inkle, the makers of Heaven's Vault, which is in my list of top 3 games ever, came out with a little 7 dollar game earlier this year, and it's been sitting in my library, and god. damn. they've done it again.

The good folks at @inkle.co were kind enough to send me a Steam key for their new game, TR-49, and it is a delight. Short and sweet - I finished it in two evenings - and perfectly pitched between challenging and frustrating, it's a fantastic addition to lineage of Her Story/Roottrees-derived games.

I just wrote a list and it turns out I used photos I took at roughly 12 different locations as reference and inspiration for TR-49. Physically travelling to all those places has gotta be like, the opposite of slamming a prompt into an AI generator. AND much more fun
