video game narrative reactivity is good for roleplaying, character relationships and other small variables that mostly impact The Player's Imagination. any narrative game that has any amibitions to not be a self contained one and done story is better off railroading you through everything else

people say they want narrative games to have a lot of choice but the bigger the choice the less it matters. if you can choose to kill a character then every other world state has to scope for a scenario where that char doesn't exist. even alive they can never meaningfully impact the story again

Somewhat common in Canada, too. Folks often need to hear how you observed and appreciated their contributions to the project. Survival guilt often results in survivor silence and let me tell you, that is isolating/alienating/lonely for folks already contending with the stress of job loss.

As someone who was let go a few years back in a way that was clearly bogus (and seen as such by my colleagues at the time), this would have helped so much. When you act all embarrassed, it makes those hurt feel utterly alone and insecure. At least it did to me.
