The Godot XR team just released v5 of the OpenXR vendor plugin. This new release sees a number of big additions to the plugin. See the full list on the release page. This version requires Godot 4.6 or later. github.com/GodotVR/godo...

@majormcdoom.bsky.social mentioned this awhile back. So in the Godot editor when you enable orthogonal mode, the default is to put the camera waaaaay back. Good in some situations, less in others. Another new feature is to automatically switch between projection and orthogonal as you orbit.

I used to love Macs, reluctantly had to switch to Windows 8 or so years ago to do VR dev. BUT WHY is my harddrive completely full with this unexplained "system other"? To add insult to injury, this is pretty much a MacBook with MacOS, XCode and a few SDKs installed. WHY!?!?

Wow, i finally have my pickup logic working. The approach can’t deal properly with rigidbodies that have joins (yet), but outside of that it’s looking really solid. Defo a solid improvement over XR tools 1.

IDK what's going on, but why does zoom have so much problems with my camera? Sigh... Anyone else experienced that, it's been really annoying.
