Wow.. Looks like I managed to somehow overload (part of) my USB chip on my motherboard. I have a feeling my webcam had something to do with it as it seems to be toast as well. Guess I'll be installing a better USB PCIe card or something...

Managed to play through all but one of our gamejam entries, I'm blown away by the quality of submissions. Some really well executed games. Deadline for voting is in half a day, can't wait to see who wins :)

So finally figured out why my computer is running badly lately. After a fresh boot Windows is using all of my 32Gb of memory, and task manager is showing me nothing useful for what is eating it all up... Sigh

I'll add one more I believe in. VR has become an untapped resource for indie developers as the number of headsets has grown to a sustainable size, devices are now powerful enough to no longer require you to be an industry guru, and AAA are unwilling to touch it as for them the ROI isn't there yet.

I did a bigger write-up on linked-in but I can finally go public with what I've been working on for the past 3 or so months. OpenXR 1.1.49 adds the much awaited spatial entities extension. Thanks to funding from Khronos, Godot will support this API "today". github.com/godotengine/...

Slightly snowed under with the spatial entities announcement, OpenXR 1.1.49 also includes the new render models extension which provides access to 3D models of the controllers currently held by the user.
