Watching all the animals having a good time does resurface that little longing. Not to be an animal, but to be the best support friend I can be. I want to live vicariously through someone else having the time of their life suiting up and bring color into the world. I wanna be a better friend.

It’s happening again. I see folks I love having a grand time and I’m happy for them but I just mostly feel like my inability to make them happy makes me a failure of a person. It’ll pass soon and I’m so thankful for the friends I’ve made the past 5 years, but I keep wishing I was a better person.

Well, I guess I’m going to see what a 10 hour shifts workweek is going to feel like next month. On one hand, waking up earlier is going to suck, my sleep is suspicious as is. On the other, 3 days off a week sounds nice.

I wonder if I can cram an elliptical in the backyard. Force myself to do some cardio after work every day, watch some Disney or some YouTube while doing it. Heck, doing a thing before bedtime might improve my going to sleep. Maybe. Certainly healthier than getting mad at Overwatch every night.

A mixture of FOMO and the longing to be friends with certain folks who are indifferent to me sure isn't what I wanted for my hump day. I do hope that despite what my mind says, I'm still an alright friend to most of you. I need to work on letting go. Two weeks until escape.

My airport has one of those AT&T wifi points that my cellphone can connect to for free except that it’s just on the edge of range so my phone goes berserk connecting to it then disconnecting back to cellular. And it keeps resetting the browser connection as a result.
