I watched Wake Up Dead Man (the new Knives Out movie) and it was real good. I didn’t know it was about a Catholic church specifically so it had me like 👀👀 Glass Onion was fun and indulgent, but a little silly. This one is bit more like the original. But I enjoy that each movie has its own flavor!

Rian Johnson was wasted on Star Wars he did his best with what he was given and then went back to making twisty neo noirs and if all he makes for the rest of his life is Benoit Blanc movies then I will be happy as a clam about it.

I see AI slop in anything, I instantly disregard the whole thing. It's like finding a slug in your salad. If you can't write without an LLM, or you can't source art that isn't genAI, you can't be trusted to do anything. Sorry. Absolute deal-breaker.

The instant someone uses genAI, my trust in them is immediately shot to shit. How do I know they didn’t use genAI for their music? For more than just placeholder assets for their game? For their script? I don’t want to waste my time trying to figure it out. GenAI: not even a little

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
