Remarkable Guillaume Lethière show at the Louvre right now. Son of a white plantation owner and an enslaved woman of mixed race, Lethière was one of the most successful artists in early 19th-c France. Through the show a larger community of Caribbean artists in Paris comes into view as well.

Another AI policy that also brings up some additional points- the environmental costs and intellectual property concerns. These are things I feel strongly about but I don't know to what extent they would resonate with students, especially when stressed out/anxious.

This is really well stated and I'm planning on using it as a jumping-off point for conversations about AI with future students.
