Happy holidays Nannas and friends. Thanks for paddling out with us in 2025. We occupied native forests, staked out coal and gas mines, inspected critical waterways, hauled large placards across town dressed as swift parrots and even got some knitting in! Xmas video in the mail, then we nap.

Did the supermarket food shopping chore last night. In our haste, we picked up jalapeño and garlic pane di casa. Which was a surprise and a challenge when I bit into my breakfast toast this morning 🌶🧄🍞😅

My dad abhors any negative comments about immigrants. Asked him recently why he’s so strong on it: ‘Because we’re always happy to take the rich and clever ones. Which means it’s not about disliking immigrants. It’s about disliking the poor and vulnerable. And that’s a bad human instinct.’

The easy, cheap, ineffective 'solution' to combatting increased crash numbers. If only there was more research *sarcasm*. More seriously, better research would be a good thing. And that starts with better, more consistent stats from the States and Territories.

COP is a pointless talk first. No longer relevant. It’s a show and tell where governments and corporations apply greenwashing amidst parties held by fossil fuel lobbyists. The science is settled. The environmental challenge is economic.
