🌉 The city’s Macdonald Bridge Bikeway counter has been added to my list! It’s been a long journey to get here. The counter was installed over 2 years ago but had a few install and tech problems that took time to resolve. Thanks to HRM AT staff for getting it all fixed up and giving me access!

Of course, they left out the part where I said that some people think the bollards are better than nothing and others feel they are so narrow that we would be better off without them. I talked about the broader issues of seasonal maintenance on all bike lanes as well (thus the photo on Almon).

How's this for def'n of a bicycle in new TSA regulations? This is my language. Trying to be inclusive while ruling out more dangerous vehicles. Also borrowing from de facto stds. and other provs. The term "conveyance" is already used in the TSA to cover anything that is not a motor vehicle. #bikehfx

Judging by my solar panel output, weather in October 2025 has been somewhat less favourable than October 2024. I suspect that is why October bike counts are only slightly higher than in 2024. Thanks @stats.hfx.bike for this valuable service.

I just drove down Dutch Village Road and yes, it is narrow and you do have to drive slowly. But there’s enough space and if you don’t think there is perhaps you need a smaller car or you shouldn’t drive since you have poor perception of space. #Halifax
