The Legacy Showcase results have affirmed my suspicion over the years that the best thing to be doing in Legacy is to be a format + deck specialist. You should pick a deck and stick with it. Knowing the decision trees of 25+ matchups vs knowing how to play a handful of decks is infinitely better.

The things that always draw me back to Legacy, relative to other formats, is that things can be so explosive that it takes so many crisp micro-decisions and intimate format/card knowledge to pull wins out of the blue. It's the format that makes me feel the most rewarded for doing my homework.

Few Shadow lists to look at and to love: 1. BeExcellent's recent list, inspired by old Marco Montani lists. Stable manabase for Delver, Eldrazi and Moon Stompy with great numbers filling it out. 2. Winner of the Sydney LES Finals. Highly aggressive and slanted towards beating up on Ancient Tomb.
