Was reminded today of the first time I went to meet Sci-Fi fans who assembled on the first Thursday of each month at the One Tun pub, on Saffron Hill, near Farringdon station, London. It was March 1978 - my friends and I were looking forward to a new Spielberg movie opening later that month...
