Sometimes for this reason, it means even a show’s very existence is kept secret for a shocking amount of time. We nearly finished writing the entire 52 episode run of TROLLHUNTERS for Netflix before it was even announced. Then another 2 years of production before they were all finished!

Since a few folks are curious, TV animation often takes a surprisingly long time. From development to greenlight to production usually lasts years, as scripts to character designs to environments and style are meticulously created from scratch! (1/2)
