I do not like ChatGPT, Not when itās paid, nor when itās free. I will not use it for a thing, Especially not for referencing. It cannot help me with email, Itās law advice can lead to jail. It cannot bring back my late Nan, I do not like it, Sam-Alt-Man.

The government's climbdown on day one rights against unfair dismissal was sold to us as a way out of the impasse on the Employment Rights Bill. Pragmatism, eh? Well guess what? The business lobby (via the Lords) isnāt giving up & is pushing for more concessions. Funny that. š¤

Gammon Four Lions should ne a thing. There's like a million and one hard-hitting dramas like This is England and American History X that portray neo-nazis as variously dangerous and/or full of tragic pathos; I want one that portrays them as bumbling dipshit facebook dads and coked up lads on tour.

There were also a group of men (landlords and company directors) who had a good laugh by burning an effigy of Grenfell, and I can't imagine that in China these men would continue to live upper middle-class lives. People genuinely get 'cancelled' there, and sometimes that's for the best.

Donald Trump is the planted flag of every crook and rapist. He is the lost cause of the south. He is the vice of the slave master, the shadow that clouds his superego at all hours, the sweat on his brow that makes him never end in his gluttony, lust, and greed. He is spiritual excrement incarnate.

The rise of AI-as-everything and the rise of violent-extremism-as-politics are two sides of the same coin, and not because of any actual intersection between the people making AI and the people doing extremist politicsāthey are just the same abdication of doing the work to have an actual society.

When a big media company uses genai slop instead of human made art, it is not just taking a job away from one artist to make that thing but *multiple* artists involved in all the things. The entire artist-hiring pipeline gets destroyed in favor of chugging from the hot dogshit pipeline.

Chatgpt dissolves your mind into sludge the same way being a billionaire does, but the difference is *you* will face consequences for it in a way no billionaire will. Any random billionaire can afford to happily keep rotting their mind into absolute slush in a way you can't.

We keep seeing startups who want to replace something valuable (therapy, counseling, tutoring, artistic expression) with some tech bullshit under the banner of democratization. But why do we need to invest so much in bad tech that doesn't work instead of just giving people access to what they need?
