Testing Mandrillian Bot behavior when VR player is cloaked -they know I'm nearby (just opened the door) and sniff around, doing some light blind attacks. Once I get out and close the door, they assume I'm on the other side, slam against the door, then reroute to find me. Very happy about this!

making a tutorial is the most annoying part of making a game like sure lemme just open up the scripts and add exceptions to basically every core mechanic so this one tiny room will function slower than all the others *and* include step by step instructions *and* check player input for each step

- if the person you're talking to says they're working in "VR" don't buy anything. They'll try and trap you in their magical computer contraption - GDC talks are a good place to practice heckling. The developers love it as it increases the challenge. They're gamers too you know.

Put another way: If you love VR, and want to play anything that isn't: - Free to play Gorilla-tag clones w. Microtransactions - Horizon Worlds made by teenagers - User Community VR Mods of flat games - VR chat worlds (until that platform runs out of money) You need to actually buy the darn games.

There's so much outside pressure to peel the hard rinds away and make your game fruit as broadly accessible as possible, even in the indie space. Sometimes you do just have to ignore the voice of the Product and give the Game the shape it wants.
