I had to go out to grab something for a dish I was supposed to make for a party tomorrow. (Party was cancelled.) Ran into Superstore. I have regrets. It was sooooo packed. The positive was running into a former coworker and people were very nice as we trued to move our carts around each other. 😑

Woke up and hit the walking pad and did some yin yoga. I wish I was this motivated every day. It was the cold. I walked to warm up. 😆

Remember my tale of the roofer who scammed us? Well, court had finally ended. We won. Shane Collins of Getter Done Roofing not only scammed us with shoddy work he had no business or knowledge doing, but he also did not show for court. Please beware if you ever come across Shane.

In other strange parcel news I had a guy deliver a package that I had to sign for this morning in a taxi. That was new.

I don’t know who is delivering this parcel but it arrived at the local depot Sunday morning, should have been out for delivery Monday. And today they show it arrived at the local depot. Again. 🤨 Maybe it will go out for delivery tomorrow?

Picked up some gift tags today so I don’t get things confused. Wrapping is underway!

I am watching All Things Great and Small (not the original the remake) and it is just such a lovely peaceful show. It goes with my obsession with Escape to the Country I guess. True comfort shows.

Monday morning Pilates was another lesson in humility. Watching your arms shake is cool. 😆

When will I learn. Following a recipe online. It doesn’t look right. After I pop it in the oven I see a note. I should have doubled the recipe for my pan. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Today’s day after reformer class pain is my abdominal muscles. Or what’s left of them. The good news is my legs are fine and the back/shoulders discomfort is minimal. A good day to do some yoga.

I made sheet pan chicken and vegetables and it was so good. The simplest meal and healthy too. And the cookies I baked yesterday are much better today. Or I am just really hungry.

Doing pilates I have realized I have no core strength. The rest I am decent, legs, arms, back. I guess it’s time to start figuring out how to rebuild it.

I made chocolate chip oatmeal jumbles. They are ok but I don’t love them.

I went for a facial today. Had a chat with a friend. Making a new recipe for supper. I have made the best I can out of this day.

This weekend has been particular tough thinking about my parents not being here. I think it is the decorating and preparing. First Christmas without Mom is hitting harder than I expected. Lots of tears.

I will be picking up the youngest at the airport in a month! Looking forward to having her home for two weeks.

Last year I was at the Eras Tour this Saturday night. This year I had Stevie Nicks tickets but could not swing another trip to Toronto. Today seems a bit boring in comparison.

Picking away at my decorating. I have a simmer pot going to get me in the holiday mood. I should put on a movie too.

I have now been to 3 craft fairs this season. I have purchased many of my gifts from local makers. We are having a smaller Christmas consciously, and this makes me really happy. Putting my money where it matters. Yes I have bought from stores but only when necessary. Not perfect but trying.

I am so happy they are leaving West Mabou alone. I am sure it is because of the public outcry. Good job everyone!
