The Straight Story has aged beautifully. A humane and heartfelt story. The film still has glorious David Lynch moments, the woman who keeps crashing into deer, but on the whole, it is a rather sweet, but sentiment-free, film about quotidian life, through the eyes of a stubborn, ornery man.
