This is something that surprises me. Not that you _can_ produce excellent work with LLMs, but that so many people _aren’t_. From my experience it’s quite easy to make good stuff with LLMs, my best guess as to why people don’t is that they’re having too much fun going fast.

what commenters genuinely don’t seem to understand is that you can absolutely produce high quality work with agentic llms if you have good engineering judgement, know how to wield them, and maintain a strict code review culture.

I made a contexto.me solver. I was able to zero in on it using the GloVe 300d dataset. Uses lemmas under the hood (runs, run, runing -> run), and then "just" find the word(s) where the guess is X distance away. I think my best score before this was like 50.

I wonder if there’s scope to have a CSS property like “border-radius: auto;” and it calculates the radius to match the parent’s radius taking into account the padding, so we don’t have to remember the trick to it anymore.

One of the things I get bummed about as a dad of autistic kids is that it’s not often my kids want to play with me. They like to play alone, and any attempt to insert yourself into that process makes the kids really upset. I often settle for just being near them as they play but it’s not the same.

Wonderful use case for AI in frontend curtesy of @samwho.dev: Let the LLM generate controls to play around until things look right, then remove them again. I would usually be too lazy to do this by hand, but its one of these things where the workflow improves but the output doesn't suffer. 10/10
