I’ve cared for infants who stopped breathing w/ pertussis. School aged kids who died of flu or COVID. And many of my patients can’t be vaccinated because they’re on chemotherapy or are immune compromised. Vaccinations save lives of those who get them & those who cannot. It’s that simple.

Even when you cite the literature on treating asymptomatic HTN in the inpatient setting, there are people more focused on making the vitals "within normal limits" than providing the best care for the patient. Agree that not ordering PRNs for HTN takes a lot of time, explanation, and documentation.
