I certified my rank list today. I am still waiting on a few bits of information re: benefits that I have not yet heard back about so I might flip flop a couple programs based on that. And I may or may not decide to add a few programs (though it would mean paying extra). But I am happy with my list.

Officially done with interviews and checked in for my flight for my second look visits. I can’t identify the exact cause, but I am feeling so anxious and discombobulated about this trip, and I am not usually an anxious traveler. Praying for a safe journey and clarity on my rank list.

As a residency applicant I really appreciate when programs acknowledge the political climate we are entering as trainee. Pretending it isn’t an issue or that it shouldn’t impact my rank list is silly. Of course it impacts me and it impacts my patients and knowing a program will fight for us matters.

And to be clear, I have already heard from every peds program I applied to, just a couple Triple Boards have been crickets and several psych programs. BUT I have already interviewed at almost all of my signaled programs so anything else is icing. (And non-signaled programs could be hidden gems)

Got an interview invite today but I couldn’t take it due to already having an interview scheduled that day that I cannot change at such short notice. Booooo. BUT it did give me some hope that those programs I haven’t heard a rejection from might still offer interviews.
