“Anti-mandate” was anti-vaccine all along. It is time for media to acknowledge that there is a coordinated right-wing effort to destroy public health in America. It is a well-funded effort. And it’s rooted in representing major business interests.

Described as slow, arbitrary, and expensive, the freedom of information system has been criticised for more than a decade. Read Dan Holmes’ article in The Mandarin about why the proposed FOI changes may be ineffective in improving transparency to the Australian public.

I will also add that largely as a result of this right-wing ratfucking that helped reelect Trump, we never mounted a real COVID response. The virus is still circulating, killing, and disabling people. We never made necessary changes—like clean indoor air for workplaces and schools. We should tho.

Last thing: Adding to the inevitability of the herd immunity/anti-vax alliance, both camps (falsely) claim their views were suppressed by the powers that be. It adds a layer of conspiratorial appeal. And to be clear: I don’t normally watch Klein’s show. It was sent to me by a friend and colleague.

This is such a great analogy of fascism being “a theory of action.” It doesn’t flow from its own logic. It uses whatever it needs to create a narrative in order to meet its own ends of preserving class rule and discipline the working class for war. 🧵1/2

Believing that requires an optimistically expansive idea of an LLM's capabilities coupled with a regressive view of what a human mind is capable of, which probably explains why so many of them fall back on "What, so a human mind never makes mistakes?"

Because what the LLM is doing when it uses mathematical regression to string together a series of symbols that per its model statistically resembles an answer... well, it's doing all that. And it's only doing that.
