For those who are wondering where the mentality for these 🇮🇪 fuel protests comes from, my crime novel The Planter’s Daughter does a good job explaining (IMO) and the e-book is discounted to €0.99 for April. Murder. Climate. West Cork.

It may just be a long-listing, but for me it's a vindication after a decade-long period out in the cold that I am still a writer, that my work moves people, and that it's worth it to keep going.

Delighted for Labour Councillor Helen Ogbu, originally from Nigeria, who has been elected Mayor of Galway. Great to see minority representation and a well-respected politician who isn’t part of some dynasty in power since the 1911 census 🙂

CW: child death Just read that cops got a call about a woman suspected of shoplifting baby nappies in a Walmart in Mississippi. (She hadn’t. Whoever made the call was probably a racist.) They came armed & fired into her parked car, killing her one-year-old son. What world are we living in.
