This is insane. She, and a Native American woman, were physically hurt and scared for their lives.

Yesterday, I awoke to news of another ICE killing in MN. On Bluesky, the conversation was deeply critical of ICE. But I wanted to see how things were going on X. Surprisingly, the attempts there to blame the victim weren't getting as much traction as I suspected. So I wrote a thing.

Absolutely horrified by the brutal killing of Alex Pretti in Minneapolis. There is no justification, no excuse for a government to unleash this kind of violence on its own citizens. Those responsible must be held to account. This is not a partisan question, but a matter of decency and equal justice.

Student loan debt in England is £267bn. Some pay interest of up to 8%. Debt up despite repayment. Govt reduced repayment threshold in real terms. A huge barrier to buying home, starting business/family. Most European countries don't charge uni fees. Abolish uni fees, write-off debt.
