*The Tubi release of the original Powerpuff Girls includes the banned in the U.S. episode “See Me, Feel Me, Gnomey”! Given how it was included on literally every streaming service that once offered that show EXCEPT HBO Max, I’m not surprised.

*Dexter’s Laboratory: Ego Trip uses the cropped widescreen print that used to be on Amazon Prime, despite a 4:3 NTSC copy of the movie surfacing recently on DVD and HBO Max Asia (physical media wins again).

Like I am not defending John K. or Zach Hadel or OneyPlays, I just want to have people apply consistency. Why are The Simpsons and Rick and Morty untouchable on that front in the industry world, even though so many outside the industry complain about their longevity? Don't pick and choose targets.

i find it quite odd that people would go after the ren and stimpy reboot when it was announced and smiling friends but stay silent when the simpsons and rick and morty get new seasons (matt groening is in the epstein files and justin roiland is a pedophie).

The U.S. animation studios all began believing that every single cartoon needed to have noodle proportions and/or overly emotional stories in order to be good, unaware that both elements also need to be done,…you know,..well.

Finally, someone who gets it. The thin outline aesthetic CAN result in a good cartoon; the issue is that it got overused to the point where the average American animation studio executive didn’t understand what could make it appealing.
