I have lost count of the number of times that AS S FULLY SIGHTED PERSON the alt text on an image has been clutch in understanding the joke, or whatever the important thing about a posted image was supposed to be.

it's like alt text. no alt text is whatever. fine, you didn't care, couldn't be bothered, forgot, whatever. i get it. but alt text that's just "image", or hash tags, or other not-actually-descriptive-of-the-image is like... c'mon. that isn't what that's for *and you know it*.
