My timeline is a juxtaposition of people arguing about fursuiting at protests and coverage of people in my city being shot at protests so I guess you could say things are going pretty great

To elaborate a little: beyond being obvious and identifiable, fursuits also limit your vision and movement, and let's be honest: at this point no rally or protest is 100% safe and risk-free. Fursuits are also generally pretty difficult to replace, so that's an important angle to consider as well.

Wearing a fursuit to a protest, especially in this weather, sounds fun, but it’s also literally probably the most identifiable thing you own and that seems like a bad idea actually

It’s hard not to consider that ICE would go so far as to plant a gun on someone to justify their execution, and how much easier it would be to posthumously villainize a victim who didn’t have a license to carry a weapon I’m not saying that’s what happened yesterday, but I wouldn’t put it past them
