Placeholder assets in a game should look obnoxiously temporary, so obvious that no one would mistake it for the final asset. In past games we've used the doge dog (rip) as an icon, hot pink versions of characters, our CEO's head, etc. If you use a temp asset that seems passable, it may stay there.

Since Slay the Spire 2 is out, here’s a peek at my Stream Deck with all the debug commands I needed to make gameplay capture fast and easy. Took about a day to hook up, but totally worth it! This was possible because @megacrit.com set up debug as either hot keys or console commands.

I think the thing I like the most about Linux is that I'm 100% in control of it. If there's something I don't like, I rip that part of it out and replace it with something else. I can't fix my existential dread about *waves hands* but I can fix the thing that made my fans sound like jet engines.
