Chough pair regularly fly over my home and call as they do. I am going to miss that so much but hey, I always have my mobile phone ring of the calls of the original Lizard pair 😹

Just back from three days on the North West coast of #Cornwall. The weather was wild and wonderful, and the highlight of our trip was seeing #Choughs! Rubbish footage as I only had my phone camera with me, but what a treat, and what a backdrop. Chuffed to bits! #birds #wildlife

It's the Inglorious 12th. The start of the Red Grouse shooting season. Grouse shooting: an expensive niche hobby of shooting birds for fun, based on environmentally damaging burning of our uplands and underpinned by crime against wildlife. Shame!
