For anyone stuck in a situation where they feel pressured into going along with things when they don't really want to, have this brief primer on consent: If you can't say no, you can't say yes. Consent can only be given by someone who feels safe not to give it and have it respected.

I think it's kinda crazy that, in the UK, it's legally less risky to literally be a hate group than it is to call a hate group a hate group.

School violence is now institutionalised & folded into legal compliance & 'safeguarding'. Individual teachers who provide 1-1 affirmation to a trans child cannot ameliorate the harm. A whole-of-school approach of refusal to follow harmful policy is needed. Few schools will have the stomach.

The gaslighting in the UK is absurd. My kiddo has been fully included for years. This segregation has a start date, September 1st. It is a 180 of school policy, that they are being forced to follow by Government policy. Yet not one newspaper is mentioning this HUGE change to trans kids' lives.

I am worried for the kids who haven't yet transitioned. Especially for the kids who haven't yet told a single person how they feel. These cruel school policies, like our wider UK segregation, is robbing them of any HOPE for the future. Without hope we will all struggle.

I am worried for the kids with support at home - many have already dropped out of school, losing their chance of a happy childhood, losing their access to education. I am worried for the kids with unsupportive homes - any chance of school safety is being removed.

3. Share information on your risk register to everyone with power and responsibility. Refuse to sit quiet while children's lives are being completely destroyed. Speak up. Rebel loudly. Centre child safety. Refuse to be complicit in actions that will lead to children's deaths.

2. Start a risk register with the risk of trans child death at the very top. Document the enormous harm. Document explicitly the serious risk to life. Document the risk to children dropping out of education. Document the increased violence. Document clearly how acute harm is caused by policy.

Three things they can do: 1. Call it what it is. Call it segregation & discrimination. Tell the trans kids who are facing it that what they are facing is overt discrimination. Don't sugar coat the overt violence.

My feedback to the school: There is no way to follow this policy with ANY safety for trans kids. There is no way to smooth the edges of the violence. The violence is intentional, at the heart of this cruel and vicious school policy.

Tomorrow is the last day she will be treated with equality & respect at school. Tomorrow is the last day she will be safe at school. Trans kids are bearing the sharp end of aggressive state persecution that is hitting all trans people. No wonder the UK's on our 2nd genocide warning.

Just had meeting with kiddo's school. She has been fully supported, treated with full equality & dignity for years. All of that changes from September. Full segregation & humiliation across the board. The school staff cried in the meeting. This will absolutely lead to children's deaths 1/2
