Since we're talking about this again, I'll say this: Intense sexism and generally hostile commentary aimed at me during my core Pauper years gave me such bad anxiety with playing Magic that it's difficult to play in a public-facing manner these days. This was when I had strong results as well.

I’m not going to talk about my experiences as a woman today. It happens to us all. Instead I’m going to tell you again and again that you have to speak up especially if you’re not a woman or marginalized gender. We are here to stay. It’s 2025. Make space for all people at your table.

There's a section of the Pauper community that is, frankly, abhorrent. The fact that Paige - one of the most successful (if not the most) people to come from that community - doesn't feel safe to use their known monikers to play is telling and tragic.

Can confirm. I definitely have the exact same emulators/ROMs I was using in high school almost 20 years ago now. Also, many of my CDs and DVDs date back to that era. I've been wanting to refresh some of them just because their age is starting to show.

I'm the middle of reviewing some stuff I put together for content months ago and am scratching my head at some of my deckbuilding choices. Sometimes it's nice to build a deck and let it sit for awhile as it makes these things stand out that much more strongly.

It's been kind of a bummer seeing all of the negativity about Spider-Man on the timeline when it's in my top half of Magic releases this year, so I want to make a post highlighting what I like about the set, and so other fans can see some positive reception.

Folks with autism: You are not broken, despite what this administration is saying. You don't need a "cure." You should be receiving love, patience and understanding -- something the rest of us should be giving everyone: trans folks, immigrants, refugees, and everyone else under attack right now.

Probably also worth noting here that I also had to explain to her how the news was so damningly bad that I started having panic attacks so intense I was hyperventilating. I've never had that happen before in my life. Check in with the trans folks in your life. Many of us are not doing okay.

*sigh* if you bring a sexualized or boarderline nude pin, patch, playmat, deck box, or accessory and I see it I WILL make you as uncomfortable about it as I am. Do me a favor and keep that in your hovel.
