disagree - modern layout is more ergonomic for me at least. From a neutral thumb angle X and Y weren’t super natural to push and required thumb rotation that got pretty tiring. Also, chords weren’t impossible but the giant A meant you couldn’t hit it with the first joint in your thumb

Also make a habit of requesting and looking at video when you get feedback! The number of times I’ve received a piece of feedback or a bug and the root cause was something completely different than what was said (but is visible in a playthrough vid) I cannot count. huge for subjective feedback too

Game dev pro-tip: Get really really comfortable with recording your screen with a program like OBS, and make a habit of recording your tests and repros on anything where timing matters or that takes awhile to repro. I don't do this nearly enough but when I do it's always super helpful
