My best friend is gay and he sometimes laments at the level of transphobia in the gay male community. Not just refusing to accept trans men, but also believing trans women are just gay men who are too “cowardly” to come out. Which probably makes trans lesbians even more confusing to them.

I wish more people would understand that this administration is all show and no substance. They don't have the power you think they do, the courts don't support them as much as you think they are, and they are extraordinarily incompetent to boot.

It's important not to internalize hate. If you are ashamed or wish you weren't transgender, ask yourself If you would feel the same way in a world where we are valued. You didn't choose to be this way, and it's okay to wish things were different. But if you are trans, don't be ashamed of it.
