Trying to pick apart a woman's text messages to prove she's lying about being raped is gutter behavior. Consent can be revoked at any time and reading insinuations into text messages that the sender denies were there is ACTUAL journalistic malpractice. I would not trust a man who does this!

Yeah, if the guy goes from Menace II Society and legit voice of the downtrodden to a national laughing stock overnight, just because the national press decide they’ve had enough of his bullshit and it’s time to put him back in his box: does that not kind of give the whole game away

You do not have to give people “due process” before you choose not to vote for them. You can just be like “oh word the guy who wrote rape apologia and had allegations just got another serious allegation? Guess he doesn’t need to be my senator.”

If roughing up a girlfriend and locking her in a room was a virile, authentic a rejection of “smoothgroined” “HR lady” politics, but a rape is too far, then what’s at stake is not a principled rejection of violence against women but a cynical assessment of how much violence a man can get away with.

As for the men wondering why women wait so long to come forward: because it's humiliating, you dumb fucks. Not because we did anything wrong but because of the way society views survivors and the fact that we're always put on trial too if we report it--as if we're also the perpetrators

continue to think that planter’s support with the lib/left male pundit class was not *in spite of* his various transgressions, but because of them, a frankly pathetic attempt to reassert dem masculinity through a man whose violent career they believed represented working class authenticity

part of the disconnect between the public and the danger trans ppl are in is bcos even well meaning journalists write pieces saying 'it is all fine actually'. the supreme court of the united states legitimising the science denialism at the heart of transphobia is not good in any sense.
