PAX was excellent. Productive use of time, and destructive use of money, lol. Shook a bunch of hands and met a lot of cool people. Also picked up a lot of cool games!! Looking forward to some rest and then more productive action soon.

Use your game flow when testing. Not constantly, but don’t always jump to the level, the prefab, don’t always spawn the props. Use your menus and start a new game and encounter your scenario in context every once in a while. Design problems don’t exist in test cases they exist in a context.

100ms is just about the fastest that an average human can perceive before being able to react; 200ms just about the fastest an average human being can react to. A huge amount of PVP timing is bound by these values.

Took a week, but I got my A0 on each of the characters in STS2. It took the longest on Ironclad, and shortest on Defect. It was most fun on Regent, and Necrobinder was the smoothest learning curve IMO. Overall I am excited to continue climbing. And to handedly ignore the Ironclad. Forever.

I want to add that this game, foundationally, engages with the concept of "Limited time" in a way that is smart, inventive, and makes it so you can play this game more than once and it feel wildly different just because you approached the space differently.
