The thing about growing a reader base is that your work is shaped by the people who engage with it, and I am kind of picky about who I want to read my stuff because I like to do work that demands nuance. One of the reasons I don't do as much video content is bc I WANT PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY READ STUFF.

I really like it here, and I love the pockets of FG folks we've got here. It feels healthier and less capitalist than other FG spaces, and I'd much rather build a readership here than anywhere else. But I don't think it'll last forever, and I'm trying to make sure I can reach my readers without it.

This is especially important to me if you're on Bluesky, because frankly, this is the space that I get the best engagement and discussion from. I generally don't promote my stuff as heavily on Twitter, and I don't post on Reddit at all these days, because it ends up bringing in a bunch of noise.

I've got a noob in my vintage cube draft group, he won his first match after three drafts, and he's having a blast. The "no combos to bad to good to optimal" progression is spot on.
