I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good. Stay free

This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)

I can’t get over how Barbie succeeded because it offered tangible ways for women and girls to celebrate each other (and dress up and go to the movies together) but studios thought it worked because it’s about toys so now they’re making like Bananagrams the movie

If you get a chance, hustle outside to catch the Aurora Borealis over West Marin tonight. You can see the purple glow with the naked eye, but the iPhone really captures it.

Oh man. Ace Frehley is gone. Condolences to the KISS Army I think often of the concert I wish I attended: KISS at the Cow Palace 8/16/1977, the day Elvis died. These images by

photographer Stephanie Maze show the vibes, and how many lives that band influenced. RIP 🔥🤘🔥

Of all the many songs I adore, this is perhaps my favorite, “San Francisco.” I am in SF right now and listening to it on repeat

The best moment I’ve ever heard in an interview was when goofy Terry Gross tried to get David Johansen to label his music (“Do you call it glam? Proto-punk?”) and with disdain and Staten Island dripping from every syllable the lead Doll said, devastatingly: “It was art, Terry.”
