Does anyone else make the Hazan sauce as their go to sauce? It is by far the superior tomato sauce and it is so simple that you don't need to keep anything but cans of tomatoes, butter, and onions on hand. No spices, nothing. I use it as a base for my beef rib sauce. It's the best.
