Happy World Gorilla Day!

The 3-day-old baby gorilla went outside today for the first time. Gladys may be a first-time mom, but she’s already a natural. Visitors can stop by Gorilla World on their next visit in hopes to get a glimpse of the new baby, but they will not be on a set schedule of when they will be out.

Twelve-year-old gorilla Gladys is a mom! A healthy baby boy was born on Saturday, September 20, at 8:32 a.m. Mom and baby are doing well. This is Gladys’ first baby and the 51st gorilla born at the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden.

Today we celebrated Kris the cheetah’s sixth birthday! She got a special birthday party out in the yard with her favorite toy, her care team, and a birthday cake.

From left to right, this is Kiara, Zola & Lulu! Kiara's head is a bit wider and her eyes tend to squint slightly more. Zola has a more prominent brow ridge. Lulu is the smallest! They look so similar, it's hard to tell them apart!
