THE BLACK TOWER (1987): Channel 4 aired John Smith's stunning 'architectural horror' short about a mysterious black building which follows a man wherever he goes. A metaphor for depression, it's in the same 'once seen, never forgotten' category as La Cabina.

@geologydisco.bsky.social has made an amazing ambient folk horror album based on these places. I took a ton of photos on the walk, and listened to the album on repeat while making these images. More to come.

I went on a walk round the village my friend @geologydisco.bsky.social grew up in, and was shown all the important places. They're in a field, or a wood, or under a huge stone. They're remote. You wouldn't want the adults joining in.
