Finished up Demon Turf this morning; it was a good time! I was a little surprised how many revisit levels were required to unlock the boss, but it was a fun excuse to check out their level remix philosophy.

I didn't realize your color customizations in Demon Turf showed up on the main menu/loading screens, that's neat. And they trick out your powers, like your double-jump form. Fun little touch.

I'm finally up-to-date with One Piece after starting back in September. It's been fun to get across and see how the story has changed shapes over the course of its run. I'm a little less fond of some of the post-timeskip stuff but there's still a lot to like in there.

M9S down, just in time to do it again Wednesday. Fun fight, a nice intro to the tier in my opinion. The adds felt crazy the first few times, but once you get a feel for the rhythm of the saws and how long it takes to kill each add it didn't seem so bad. Looking forward to some M10 prog next week!

I beat Anodyne 2 last night, it was a really fun game. The idea of using 2D and 3D to create layers of narrative and mechanics was quite cool. The puzzles and mechanics in the various 2D areas were super creative and I had a lot of fun thinking around some of them.

Using this glam for M9S prog; my first time using the cool new unlocked glam system (this is dragoon gear from...wanna say Eden? plus a mix of a few other bits) but it felt like a good match for the fight's vibe.

Watched The Crow tonight at the late-night movies. It was a good time! It's fun to see a revenge story played out so explicitly as its own tragedy; coming back to life just to get even and then going back to being dead. I liked that Eric was a bit of a cornball but also Very Serious.

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up. I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.

Traveling for the holidays and decided to bring my 3DS instead of my switch or steam deck. Partly to safe space since it's nice and small but also I just haven't played it in a while and was in the mood to revisit it.

Pleased by this months' Bandcamp Friday haul. A few explorations further into bands I've recently discovered and really dug (Hella, Arctopus, MBR, Blood Command), some dives back into old favorites (Anamanaguchi, Andrew WK), checking out something new with TWILIGHT AGGRESSOR. Good mix!
